Hi! I’m Moosa, the owner and founder of Medicar app.

The app’s ‘digital glove box’ idea first came to me when I was living in the Sutherland Shire in Sydney. My wife and I used our local service centre where we purchased our cars from.

However, when our family moved to North Sydney, I didn’t want to drive back to service the cars in our old neighbourhood. I booked the cars into a service centre in North Sydney, only to find that the centre couldn’t access our cars’ records or the previous work that had been done on either of the cars. This resulted in unnecessary work being done which cost me extra money. Which is just nuts, right? It turns out that service centres under the same brand are often not linked.

It niggled at me, but the Medicar app idea really started to take hold when I was sitting in the waiting room of my doctor’s office one day soon after.

I kept thinking about how convenient it was to have one system that tracked my entire medical history (Medicare, of course). How much easier would life be if there was a similar system for the asset you use every day – your car?

That was when Medicar app was born. It solves a seemingly simple problem, both for individual car owners and businesses managing a whole fleet of company cars, and I’m sure you will find it useful.
